Typical materials: CW617N and various other grades of brass

Brass is one of the best materials for door handles as they are resistant to bacteria and most corrosive materials. Even strong chemicals can be used to clean brass door handles to maintain hygiene.

CW617N is classed as a stamping brass with high machinability and excellent hot forming properties. It is an alloy of nickel-plated brass, most commonly used for producing complex hot-pressed components.

Some of the benefits of CW617N are:

  • It is highly resistant to corrosion
  • It has a high machinability rating
  • It has excellent hot forming properties
  • It is extremely suitable for brazing and soldering

Material composition:

  • 58% copper
  • 2% lead additive
  • 0.3% maximum iron
  • 0.7% maximum impurities
  • Remaining zinc

Hot-working temperature range: 650-775°C (1202-1427°F)

Tensile strength: 380 MPa (55 ksi)

Common MOQ: 100 to 10,000 pcs

Typically, common parts or standardized parts have higher MOQs. While MOQs are negotiable, buyers are advised to be reasonable about the numbers.

Manufacturing methods: Casting, forging, and die casting

  • Once the components have been produced, the manufacturer will machine the components to match your exact specifications
  • We work with the manufacturer to ensure that you get precise components and intricate parts
  • The products come with intricate passages and contours with consistent and repetitive close tolerances
  • All door handles come with accurate and smooth surfaces. All components come with a 125 micro finish but a higher finish is achievable.

Manufacturing cluster area: Ningbo (Zhejiang province)

Ningbo is a sub-provincial city in the northeast Zhejiang province of China. It is one of the oldest cities in China tracing its history back to 4800 BC. The port of Ningbo-Zhoushan is one of the busiest ports in the world.

Textiles, garment, auto parts, home electric appliances, plastic machines, and high-end mold are some of the major industries in the city.

The city houses over 3,000 home electric appliance manufacturers and nearly 10,000 factories that produce electrical appliance parts and accessories. The annual turnover of the home electric appliance industry in Ningbo accounts for 30% of the entire industry in China.

Being a port city, Ningbo also has a thriving petrochemical, paper making, and steel industry. IT, new materials, semiconductor and photo-electric industry are also some of the rising industries in the city.
